As well, many readers find informational text highly motivating, since the topics that are covered may be of great personal interest. Yet, even for interested readers, when informational text is about scientific topics the language, syntax, and reasoning in the text can be unfamiliar to some students. This can present challenges to developing the intended understanding from the text. Therefore, students will benefit from learning strategies that help them to understand informational texts. Three such strategies are provided below"
