Summary:The Weis isn't your grandfather's museum full of dusty old glass cases — although we've got some really old stuff here! Imagine a museum where you can make an earthquake, walk through a mine tunnel, shoot off a quarry blast, touch a dinosaur bone, and make it rain! And everyone — from the advanced collector to the youngster who just started picking up rocks — will be amazed at the marvelous minerals and fabulous fossils on display, too. While you're having lots of hands-on, interactive fun, you'll discover that there were once volcanoes, mountains and tropical reefs right here in Wisconsin. In fact, you'll learn that every rock tells a story, and you can read them yourself! Geology, mining and fossil exhibits; family events, scout connections, field trips, geology club; Location: Menasha, WI
