Summary:Experience the unique biomes of northern Alaska from the comfort of your own classroom! Through this distance-learning program from the Gates of the Arctic National Park in Fairbanks, Alaska, students can meet an NPS ranger and learn about the diversity of Alaska's habitats. Targeted for students in grades 5-12, this 50-minute lesson explores the tundra of boreal forest biomes of Northern Alaska, particularly the nonliving factors that create these unique ecosystems and the animals that call these extreme environments home.
